Hey Everyone,
It has been a very, very, long time since I have blogged anything. Unfortunately I was far too exhausted each day during this spring's campaign in Alert to blog. And I don't have any more exciting trips this summer.
However, I am starting a new hobby, micro-controllers. They are basically small, simple computers and I thought it would be a fun exercise. I also think it will be very useful and ultimately I hope to build a few environmental sensors with them. I also plan to build my own intervalometer (shot timer) for my digital SLR.
Since I don't want to change the theme of this blog, I have started another blog for those of you who are interested in learning about micro-controllers with me. It will be pretty geeky, you'll likely see me getting way to excited about a light that blinks, or measuring temperature or so forth.
I'll try to present my trials and tribulations, post some code examples, and of course pictures and videos.
I will likely share the first post of the blog on here just to try to drum up some interest, but that will be all.
